Bob,
It is really awesome!! I think you are the first operator in the world operating on AO-85 using an indoor omnidirectional antenna and running just 7W half-duplex. Please, can I share your picture with my satellite buddies? Everyone will be very happy to know you are using this setup for AO-85.
Very good about visiting my home country! I have talked with Eduardo in the radio (Who has not? Hi Hi...) and we have exchanged a lot of emails but I never have met him in person.
You can try FO-29 with your current setup as well. I think, It will be easier for you.
Thanks very much again!
73!
Hector

I am using the 817 and it puts out about 7w. I have an Amsat preamp on the receive side.
I visited your home country and met Eduardo CO8LY last spring. I have also read of your great DX feats, I will be honored to have your QSL.
The QRZ address is good.

It is very interesting to see you are working AO-85 with an Omni antenna. A lot of people and I myself have had issues to get into the satellite running 5W and a 6 elements beam (ARROW Antenna).73!Hector-----Mensaje original-----De: Bob Cutter [mailto:ki0g@yahoo.com] Enviado el: Wednesday, November18, 2015 8:42 PMPara: w5cbf@amsat.orgAsunto: Quadrifilar antennaThis is the homebrew antenna I was using this morning, inside.73, Bob KIØG
